    Hi, is BlackBerry Z10 nfc compatible with sony vaio's? Does it require certain level of compatibility or regardless as long as it's nfc? Thanks.

    NFC is universal. I personally checked link share with a Vaio at a store and it worked without a problem. Can't comment on other use cases though since I havn't test something else

    If I understand correctly, NFC is just a protocol that holds a set of instructions for the receiving device. You don't 'link' with NFC, you use NFC to establish a bluetooth link, or to turn on/off settings, etc. So it SHOULD be universal in the sense that any NFC device can receive and understand the instructions given

    This should be the case. Samsung phones are terribad at NFC, but other phones should be standards compliant enough to work.

    I cannot get NFC to work at all between my Z10 and a Lumia 920.

    Also there are many times it doesn't work for Android devices. Sometimes they don't support certain data transfer (most often) and other times they don't work at all (usually Samsung).

    But for the Lumia 920 it doesn't even act like it tried to connect. No vibrate or NFC noise or error at all.

    I got a Vaio Duo 13 convertible Ultrabook. As of yet have not been able to transfer anything to it via NFC from my Z10.

    It's not a big issue for me as it's something I'd barely use, but I'm a little disappointed that it seems to either not be compatible or at the very least easy to figure out.

    Just tried this and I also posted somewhere else about it, serious issues with Samsung and Vaio; could it be the OS? For example,each device connects to everything else, so it's weird why only in these two scenarios.
