I don't know if there is already a topic on this, I couldn't find it. On the torch I loved the news app, was very disappointed that it didn't get carried over to BB10. Is there any app that is similar, nothing looked like it in app world. I know there is newsstand but don't want to pay for subscriptions. Anybody know of any good news apps for the New York area?

I've been using rss savvy. It works well and I entered in all my feeds that I had with BlackBerry news. Couple things I wish it had such as mark read. But the developer seems receptive to feedback and I sense will be putting it in.

Plus for the ny area I entered in the rss address for stuff like news day and times and such.

Tried RSS savvy, I like it so far. Very similar to BlackBerry news app. Actually is kind of nice to have a new app that is as useful.

I use Blogtrottr and have it email me new RSS articles to an email account in the hub dedicated to news feeds. I can mark things read, and it syncs to my PlayBook and even my desktop if I want to log in to my webmail there. Just disable the News Feeds account from appearing in the main hub if you have a lot of subscriptions.
