Once to get used it it it's amazing (I came from android) also BlackBerry is MUCH Better with updates, I would give more time, ultimately it's up to you though

Keep the Zed...I've come from BB World Edition, Torch 9800, PB and now I have the Z10 (since launch), Z30 (my preferred device) and now have a Galaxy Tab due to a charity event. I keep making mistakes on the Galaxy. It frustrates the heck out of me but at least I have the best of both worlds and now can compare pure BB OS versus Android. Sooooo glad I have never gone Android or iPhone for my smartphone...Blackberry all the way baby.

Read the article properly and notice the complaints he has in regards to the UI, keyboard, file management etc of the Android device.

I have had the S2 and, Note II, and other than screen size and the speed of the device, it wasn't anything special. You see them everywhere so it's not "unique". Samsung makes new phones every month it seems. They just seem so "blah" to me. But as others have said, go for a Z30 instead of the Z10. I love my Z10 and have no complaints with it at all. I also have a Q10 and I am getting very quick with it's QWERTY keyboard. I always just tell people to get what works for THEM and don't pay attention to what others think of your phone or whatever choice you made. If folks seriously make fun of you for using a BlackBerry or whatever you do decide on, they are losers with no real life. If you want advice on what to go with I will tell you to go for Z30 if you can afford it or the Z10 since they are like 1 cent or free on contract. You cannot go wrong with BlackBerry 10. The Hub truly is the best messaging center of any of the Mobile OS devices.

Typing is difficult and cut and paste sucks for me on Z 10, but I do not know anything about cut and paste on Samsung.

Hey Jim, I also have the Z10... and I love it. Like others have commented above, I "wish" I had the Z30!!!

To your point about typing, I hope you have installed the latest OS update. You should be able to install OS 10.2.1.2941.

Sometimes when vendors supply BB phones, they don't come with the latest OS updates. The editing and typing features of the Z10 have been seriously upgraded especially including the editing, copy & paste features,,, which NOW WORK beautifully IMHO.

Main feature: the blue-white circle that pops up... use it to precisely position the cursor EXACTLY where you want it, especially when you are close to the edge of a text-entry area. What Would Blondie Do? She would post this comment long before me! Way to go, Blondie!!!

Exactly - also, OP if you get an S5 or any other Android phone, don't expect a smooth walk in the park either. Try to stick it out with the Z10, it's an amazing phone. You will thank yourself for it, trust me.

I am a former android and iPhone user and I am quite happy with the Z10. Tried the Z30 for a bit and it is an amazing phone that could easily replace the z10 and my PlayBook.
