I should have my unlocked Z10 for the weekend. Fingers crossed everything works. Going to keep the 9930 for the interim. I know nothing about how BBM is going to work. Apparently you don't need bis. Can I use the 9930 and Z10 using the same login?

I'm using an unlocked Z10 on AT&T with the sim from my old iphone and still using the Apple data and everything works great. A specific BIS Plan is not needed for OS10. Also, I don't believe you can use the same BBID on two devices if both are active.

Can't use on two devices the same BlackBerry ID.

Me still using as major phone 9900, and have registered second BlackBerry ID to play with Z10.

Ok thanks. I will do a second ID then till I am satisfied everything is going to work out.

I've seen some people claim they still needed bis on their Z10 or some things weren't working. The consensus is you just need a standard data plan. I'm going to try T-Mobile here first and see how it plays.

Any standard smart phone data plan will work. As I stated before I just swapped the sim card from my iphone to the Z10, never called AT&T and all features work. Browser, email, BBM, and even visual voice mail works.

I'm coming from a CDMA carrier.
So I can't transfer a Sim.

I have a prepaid T-Mobile account and a GoPhone account to try out.
Interestingly, I was able to get T-Mobile data (EDGE) on the 9930 in the world slot, with GoPhone I could never get more that voice and text. (Yes I had bis on the plan)

Compatibility issues.
