I'm helping my friend setup two brand new Verizon branded Z10's. His wife's setup went without a hitch but his device keeps restarting. Hers came with 10.1 already and updated to a higher 10.1. His came with 10.0 so I was saying the OS could be at fault for the restarts but the restarts are interrupting the update and it's been freezing after restarts recently. If I minimize the software update screen it freezes so I told him to leave the screen up until the update finishes (provided it doesn't restart again) and see what happens.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions. (returning the device is not an option. Someone brought it in from overseas)

He was updating OTA. He got it updated to 10.1 and the restarts have stopped.

Also, it turns out it wasn't really sticking. If you minimised the update screen it appeared to freeze as you could do nothing. But If you left the debixe device till the screen timed-out, the screen worked after you woke it. So I popped into the display settings quickly and set the time out to 5 minutes, returned to the update screen and told him not to do anything until it finished, even if it appeared to freeze. It went through and all is well now.

Hopefully this helps someone in future. 10.0 has some issues with restarts apparently and a lot of Z10's out there are unsold inventory which still have 10.0 loaded on them.
