Put your finger on the top of the screen and while it's there, press the unlock button. And the screen will swipe up for you. The screen need to be off for it to work.

You could also just set the lock button to unlock instead of showing the lock screen in the first place....

Works for me but you have to remove your finger or the screen stays blank. Not sure it's a time saver though... haha
