I must be lucky. Both OTA updates for 10.3.1 on my z10 had no issues what so ever. Unlocked Shop BlackBerry Z10.

^^^ I feel the same way...lucky from all I have read here on CB. My OTA updates on my ShopBlackBerry Q10 and Z10 are performing just fine... :-)

Might need a to reboot the fone for update via link... might not work if fone is carrier locked or maybe att devices... mine was bought (albeit painfully) from BlackBerry digitalriver...

The OTA update took a little longer than expected given the file size. And thankfully everything went without a problem and there doesn't seem to be any noticeable differences as of yet

Yep, same on the Q10 (SQN100-3) at least.
The autoloader flashed it just fine though.
Contacts are lost however... (10.3 won't restore them from 10.2)

If you want this build, stay away from OTA and the BB Link.
Both downloads the same junk.
Use the auroloader, that 's the only thing that works for 10.3.1.1779.
Thought I had to go back to 10.2.02.1609 as the 10.3.1.1779 would not restore my contacts.
You decide.

I admit I'm a bit out of the Z10 OS loop since it is now my backup device with the Z30 my Primary phone. Also, being a Verizon customer I have no hope of seeing any 10.3.1.xxxx release for years if not decades for either phone!

I've loaded Software Release 10.3.1.1784, OS Version 10.3.1.2582 on my Z30. But the Z10 is at 10.3.1.747/1154.

I have been thinking of bring the Z10 forward but have not done it yet.

So, there are official 10.3.1.xxx OS versions that have been released for the Z10? Which carrier or carriers?

Strange. I downloaded actualization. It starts installing but it crashes in 76 % of installation. Every time.

Solved: I had to delete some apps to have more memory.

I got the .1779 software update few days ago. (STL-100-2, Vodafone Germany).
But besides the odd keyboard sounds, it looks to me as if the device got a bit laggy.
Especially, when swiping between hub (overview) and the homescreen with opened apps.
Micro stuttering, while swiping between homescreen (with apps opened) and appdrawer.
Is this new, or was that already, while on the .1565?
And i also think, that the unlock process takes little more time... once again, can't really say if it just occurred since the recent update...

Edit: And yes, sachesi offeres the update to me.

Edit2: Oh and yes, i've just noticed that I don't have "Contacts" App either...

You have to read the LEAK thread about the version you are interested in using. See if others have had issues or problems and what they are. It is totally you decision after learning as much as you can.

To downgrade you have to use an autoloader or BBLink so that all data is wiped from the internal memory. But, yes, it can be down and there's a thread in the Leak Subforum on what to do.

BBLink can load or re-load the official version offered by your carrier. It will erase your data so backup all unique data, photos, docs, music, videos, etc that you want to save.

You can also use an Autoloader with your carrier's official version or some other version if you prefer. They can be found in the Leak Subforum. And there's a thread on downgrading.

Check for update through Blackberry Link. If it shows in that then it will show up in your mobile also.

I am on Z3, had been on 10.3.1.1565 until this update (10.3.1.1779) came to me today.

I had trouble updating it, thought it's now solved.

Things that I noticed with this update are;
> Low ringtone (call notifications too) are solved now. I guess that's relief for many users on previous versions of 10.3.1.
> For Video playback, toggle function is given to seek-bar & action-bar (I mean one tap on screen brings them up and another tap makes them go down). Earlier it was pain to see that with one tap the seek-bar & action-bar comes-up but they would not go anyhow before 3 to 5 seconds. I appreciate & like this.
> BBM Meetings icon is added, though I haven't opened this app yet.

Prior you could have unique notifications which are now gone and I've also noticed that it does not vibrate on text messages or use the custom ringtones as listed.

Really? What OS are you coming from? Did you check under Settings > Notifications > Normal > Customize App Notifications? Or is it just not working?
