Netflix is working on an app!
I just finished a chat with Netflix support and it looks like they are working on an app for BB10! The photos attached are of print screens of the conversation that I had.
Don't mean to get anyone overly excited but they are working on it. As you can see, they do not have an ETA but they are working on it. Looks like even the netflix rep is looking forward to the phone and that they have a lot of questions about it.Curve 8330 -> Storm 9530 -> Torch 9800 Aug 2010 -> Bold 9900 June 2012 & Playbook 04/19/11

I actually had a chat with Netflix customer support today as well! I didn't get the same exact response, but the rep seemed interested and said he would record the chat and pass it on up to the mobile app department. I have my fingers crossed for this one, everyone should keep telling them we want Netflix for BB10!

I'm can't remember if I posted the screen pick of this part, but the lady actually said that they have been having quite a lot of inquiries about supporting the X10. @parkinfly you're right that if there is enough people ask, they will support it.

My brother in law works in NYC on occasion and he said alot of people on the train ride home watch movies on their phones to kill the 1-2 hour commute home.
This is a bigger deal than most realize.
Apps like Netflix will turn these people who have a work issued Blackberry and personal iPhone into people that realize that BB10 is all they need. - 01-30-2013, 11:11 PM #11
Okay we got skype, docs to go, dropbox, netflix, instagram, a great thing for all messages called the hub. Haters can't hate anymore... How interesting.
BUT OMG WAITING UNTIL TMOBILE GETS IT WILL KILL ME D:
But actually I think this is shaping up quite nicely. The stock price dropping and vile reviews clouded my vision for a short while but I am once again convinced with NO doubt that I must have a Z10. Good work Thor. - 01-30-2013, 11:52 PM #13

You just go to the netflix site, login and click on help near the top right hand corner. On that page you can select live chat now. They are super fast at connecting with you.

Hopefully it'll be there by the time the LE's are delivered. If they don't have a BB10 app up and running by BB Live, I'm so cancelling my subscription....

RE: Netflix is working on an app!
Netflix? I heard the same story two years ago when I bought my playbook. Good luck with that.

Percentages.
I suspect that, at the time, Netflix didn't want to take the time to prepare their App for a few hundred thousand Playbooks with a fraction of the owners being Netflix subscribers. Preparing their App, today, for potentially millions of new smartphones is much more appealing.850, 7250, 8830, 9800, Z10 & PB - 01-31-2013, 10:42 AM #19
Hmm.......sounds sketchy considering BlackBerry (......feels weird saying BlackBerry instead of RIM) didn't say anything about Netflix.

Hate to kill the mood but look at postings from two hears ago in the playbook forum - Netflix was saying the same thing then. And one year ago. And six months ago. And last month. It doesn't mean anything. It's the standard company line fed to customer service reps to repeat.

One REASON why Netflix was not available on the PlayBook was support of the DRM that Netflix uses. In one of the Jam America sessions, RIM/BB said that the DRM is now supported in the PlayBook. Given that Netflix uses a HTML5 interface for their apps (that's what I recall), it makes no sense for them NOT to put an app on BB10. It should be fairly straight forward....

I had a different answer when chatting with them yesterday. I feel like they just tell you what you want to hear.
