When I attempt to sideload a particular app, in the status section it gives me a negative number after installing instead of the word ok, what does that mean?

It means it didn't load. Use the chrome extension.

Open Chrome...first and paste into search...it's called...
"BB10 / PlayBook App Manager Options"
