    I had this same problem, I went to use a different computer and encountered it again. I went to BlackBerry network properties, updated some drivers, closed BlackBerry Link completely, set my z10 to the windows setting in "Settings>Storage and assess", I then reset my device, plugged it in when it loaded up and the computer finally recognized it.

    I was trying for days on a computer I borrowed at home with no luck (I use a mpb), tried it on my store computer and after the process above it worked.
