    Tnx Rohn3g,

I notified the dev, and he said he contacted BlackBerry to fix this.
I've got STL100-1 too. The IEMI and PIN were shown outside the box.

That 1008 is captured during an early part of the device boot. It's a static value. The BB10 os ramps the clock speed up and down in response to varying workloads. The value being reported here is not an indication of the CPU speed.

I'm pretty sure before the latest update, on a fresh restart of the phone or charging from death geek bench would say 1.5ghz, maybe 1.2ghz, And it would go down gradually and stop at 1.01ghz - 1.08ghz. Now after the 10.1 update it seems to be pegged at 1.01ghz as I can't seem to get it to change. Not only that, but I also managed to get one of the lucky screen smudges too... started showing up all over so I slapped a screen protector on. I can live with that at least :P.

    EDIT:
    Found a stl100 running at 1.47 on 10.0.10
    http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...-3-4-a-776369/

And like that guy, I also got lower scores when my processor was showing > 1.01, if he ran it after the speed drop he should get at least a 100 - 200 point increase.

I think it's a design flaw due to being the bigger manufacturing process, with two extra cores (for battery saving purposes is what I gathered from what I read) so my guess is that the stl100-1s are overheating and down clocking. Until blackberry seemingly locked it at 1.01 that is...

I reverted back to 10.0.10.82 just yet, and still shows 1.01 Ghz in Device info X and Geekbench2

Hmm odd, mine definitely ran at 1.5ghz for a moment like that guy in the post was however it was very short lived , I'll see if I can't find any screen shots of it as well.

I would say that it could be the app not detecting the other two M3 processors as they are apparently clocked at 260 each which would account for the .5ghz however mine has been over 1ghz before on only those two cores, so it could only be deliberate down clock to save power until need (os managed) or overheating so it runs at the lower clock.

Also according to wikipedia the OMAP 4470 should be run between 1.3 - 1.8 ghz so it doesn't really make sense to me why they would under power the chip on purpose.

Guys with the 1.01 ghz cpus, try opening a game or something hard on hardware and see if the clock speed increases. I'm wondering if it is down clocking to save battery and power.
