I know on legacy device it was a precaution but no necessary because the software injected automatically wipes the device, so do you guys wipe before updates or no?

I don't know if it's necessary but I'm sure it cleans up a lot of issues. I've wiped every time while loading a leak. Oh...and I security wipe too

Some people do, some people don't. Some users believe that installing the OS wipes the device so a security wipe isn't necessary; others swear by it and believe a security wipe is necessary to remove any traces of user installed files. So is it really necessary? I say it depends on what one believes.

I perform a security wipe after installation of every leak and before re installation of apps and data. Also I do not use Link to reinstall. I have found that this method provides the greatest success. All apps are reinstalled from App World and any data by hand. Contacts come back via AT&T's cloud service.

Installing os wipes device so no its not needed. Unless you are installing another manor. I been threw this with android windows phone, also. People are weird.

Wipe after doesn't clean anything. Half the files are generated and setup upon install. Its not like it's a pre setup os that someone used and exported.
