...when I check there's nothing there.
I tried and actualized manually, won't find any updates but still shows the spark?

    Anyone know what I'm missing?

I have had the same... I also had rebooting issues yesterday....

Wiped the phone and it is gone, no more reboots and more space on the internal ROM.

I suspect it is some bug - they will either fix it or you need to live with it...
Come to think of it, I wonder if that relates to the default apps that I remove (e.g facethingy and foursquare)...
Wiping the OS and updating should bring you up to the latest release...

Is it possible that this isn't an update to an app you have, but rather a new app in the "Available" section?

This happeneds to me as well, but lately when I open to check it shows that Sportsnet has an update and has been doing this for the past few days, I just deleted it and it hasn't shown back up yet or had the update but I do get the random Spark on myworld

yeah this happens to me as well, all I do is.

    1. check for updates by hitting check updates, if none show upl go to step 2
    2. maunally check your apps for a upgrade, just click on them one at a time to see if one needs an upgrade, useually one does, but not always and if none are needed go to step 3
    3. just wait and see if you get a text notification of an update for an app, sometimes it comes through and sometimes it takes a dsy or two even though you see a spark icon on my app world.

yeah SN has an issue for whatever reason its their app that is the issue some code is wrong in app and it continues to think we need an update, but infact we don't once we do it.

    this is not blackberrys issue.

It happens to me too. You just have to go through each installed apps and find out which one has an update. A pain but hopefully RIM will fix it soon......

Thanks I figured it had to do with something on Sportsnet end as I have had no issues otherwise in BB World

I'm not sure, but I think this is related to BBM.

Not available for this device and a zero file size for an installed app seems odd. Can't uninstall or delete it.

Clear BB World Cache To Get Rid of the Spark

    1. Open BlackBerry World
    2. Swipe down from the top bezel and select “Settings”
    3. Tap on the version number (yes, just tap that area where the version number displays)
    4. Tap the back button to go back all the way. Exit Blackberry World.

NB: Some posters claim that it doesn't work for them but it works like a charm for me. So try it. Hope it works for you.

Thanks for the tip ... didn't work for me, though.

If I open My World, then it goes away for an hour or so.

It works at the moment, but next time you open-close-open(or if you refresh) it is there again.

It doesn't happen to me. That's what I was trying to say. Of course there were occasions where the spark didn't go away, and I checked by tapping Updates and I did have to follow-up with that.
