I just got the phone this morning, playing around just the BBM and nothing else. The phone feels warm, even when sitting around.

I understand that if the phone is warm because of games as it's intensive, but not sure why it's warm just by BBM or just sitting around.

anyone else ? I wonder if I should take it to AT&T and exchange to a new one...

You don't need to exchange it, it's just the temperate of the phone when it's warm or hot.

It takes a couple of days for the phone to stabilize so it will have a shorter battery life and be warmer.

Lots of syncing going on for the first little while.

Maybe your hands are warming it.

    How bright is your screen?

Shouldn't be warm from messaging. If you are concerned, get the battery lover app, it gives you your battery temp do you can monitor this.

I found that when I first got the phone, update the OS to 10.0.116, I think, the latest AT&T official build, then the BBM and all other apps, the phone was warm the whole time, while on BBM or idle. I didn't get any group invites at all.

I decided to do a security wipe on the device, and now I think the phone works fine as it's no longer warm while doing the same thing I was doing. BBM group invites now are incoming. Not sure what's going on though... maybe anyone can tell me?

The older os versions had issues with battery management, each up date seems to fix it a little more. Did you notice if it updated after the reset?

Ive noticed my battery getting quite warm with the 10.1 update, even connected to my pc via usb...battery guru shows the temp at 32c when pre 10.1 it used to sit at around 25c or even lower.

But definitely have noticed the battery getting alot warmer with the new update along with a few other things im seeing ie sluggish behaviour in the hub and swiping between the screens. And yes i have rebooted, pulled the battery out etc etc but still remains...could be skype causing the issue as its a very poor port so might delete skype and see if that cools the phone down and speeds it up a bit.
