My Z10 Nightmare!
I've had my Z10 for about 3 weeks now and today has just taken the biscuit! I noticed the short battery life almost immediately, in comparisen to my old BB Torch. The life span I was getting, even reducing screen backlight to 10% was ranging from 1 day to 4 hours with no use on it; and I mean NO use. Charged overnight, put in my bag in the morning to go to work then dead by lunchtime without even taking it out of my bag. The last couple of days things have only gotten worse.
Now, carrying my trusty USB charger everywhere I go, (so I stood a chance of having battery in case of emergency by charging on my work PC during the afternoon) I found that all connections began to get lost. No email, texts, BBM, getting through. Yesterday I managed to force connections by calling my home phone and a flood of emails and texts came through. I charged my trusty Z10 last night as usual to wake this morning again to find no messages (and groupon love sending at least 2 at around 1am, so I knew this to be strange). I tried switching it off and on, taking out the battery, calling the house line to no avail... in fact when I tried to make a call the icons were staggered and pixelated. Messages started coming through around 11am.
I called phones 4 u tech support today to get some advise and was told to secure wipe the phone. I duly followed the instructions to find my phone is now completely dead (and tech support closed!). When the wipe completed an icon instructing me to plug my phone into the USB was visible. I followed this advice and nothing other than the alert light glowing green on and off occured. It appears to be charging but my laptop is not even recognising it exists when I go to my computer, my Blackberry link has reverted back to my old Torch profile and my phone has been plugged into the USB since 7pm literally doing nothing but glowing smugly at me from the corner denying me any response whatsoever.
I am really disappointed. I've been a fan of Blackberry's for a number of years now and they have always been my phone of choice but this is seriously making me consider moving to the darkside and getting an Iphone! Poor form BB!!
