I posted this in another thread but wanted to be as visible as I could.

Brand new SD card purchased and installed when I got the device (phone is such a pedestrian term)

My BlackBerry is rebooting when I completely cover (with contact) the top sensor area (where the camera and led indicator are) above the screen but below the speaker.

It will also reboot if I SWIPE across the area.

I have not noticed it reboot at any other time.


For those of you with this issue, is it possible you're swiping the area or making unintended contact when you hold your BlackBerry or slide it in and out of your pocket?

Again, this is only my experience.

I just tried to mimic this. My device doesn't reboot.

I'm guessing that's a device unique error.
Otherwise everyone's phone would be restarting when they talked on the phone? Lol

I actually saw your post in my thread about that, and I tried replicating it, but couldn't. It doesn't seem like this is the case for the majority of people facing the reboot issue, though I could be wrong.

Sounds like you have some kind of a limited edition Z10...
AT&T here also but can't replicate your situation (thank God) .
Mine had a few restarts when it was resting on a surface.
