I took it from charger at 7:30am. Went to work (outside) and left it on table. About 10 I went inside to caffe break and news reading (about 20mins). After that my battery was at 30%. It's all happening in only EDGE area. I thought that it's draining my battery and changed settings to only 2G (it was 2G & 3G). At 2:30PM my battery was empty.
After some time on car charger my battery went to 25%. Half hour later I find my phone turned off (i wasn't using it at all and it was still on 2G only). Went home, charged it and battery was normal trough night and most of the next day (today). I was at friend's house and my battery was about 15% so I plugged phone in his PC (and detected phone). Half hour later I'm getting ready to go home, taking my phone and it's off, battery drained.
After charging it, it's working normaly and battery is not draining.
What was that about? I have changed my charger cable 2 days ago (still have original). Can that be cause of problems? I'm not happy to do OS reload or wipe (waiting for 10.3.1 to do "fresh start").

Not sure how long you have had your device - could be the battery is bad.

You can pick up spare batteries (and the charging bundle which includes a battery) very cheaply on Amazon.

What does Device Monitor say was using the battery when you experienced the drains?

There is a current bug in BBM where it randomly starts to hog the CPU thus killing the battery even if its Active Frame isn't open. I had that bug hit my Z30 again last Friday evening/night while I was out with friends. If you don't catch it in time with a reboot your battery will be dead in no time.

No doubt Z10 is a gorgeous device. But battery life remains a debatable issue. I got my battery changed twice and device once from the Blackberry service center India as it was under warranty peroid but I am still facing battery issue. I am average user, I dont play games, no everyday listening to music, moderate user of whats app (just to be connected to friends who are not on BBM). I have subscribed to few channels in bbm but I dont think that should be the root cause of battery draining. Yest night my battery showed around 55% when I went off to sleep but in mrng arnd 4:30 Am IST my battery % was 16 that is something serious. I am tired of going around service center for replacement. I do understand if I am a heavy user and the battery drains but in my case I am not able understand why this is happening? Also on and off my Z10 get hot.

My phone is able year old. It is possible that it's happening because of bbm bug, i wasn't using bbm that day but it was 3rd largest battery consumer.

I noticed that my phone won't charge up to 100%. It goes to 99% and stands there (still shows charging).

Also noticed that battery indicator on home screen shows different value from Device Monitor. Currently device manager shows 98% but on home screen is 100%.

Frankly, I would not worry about 99% or 100%. Or unplug charger and plug it in again.

Neither did I. It happens for some time now, but I just mentioned it in regards to recent events.

This happened to my Z10 last week, BBM was the culprit which slammed my battery in about Two hours from about 2/3 full. After it shutdown on its own accord and charging it up again, it's been fine. Similar issue happened to Z30 a few months back, BBM also the issue, never re-occurred. Seen the same on android device.

When the BBM bug hits it's always the top battery consumer because it's hogging the CPU.
