I bought an unlock code for my Z10, and when I went to put in my code, the screen showed me this:

    Is my phone already unlocked?-img_00000159.png

Which shows the Network Subset and Service Provider as unlocked. Is my phone already "unlocked" for use with any sim card?

    Thanks.

No your Z10 is still locked. If it was unlocked, it wouldn't have that tab saying "unlock network"

    Once unlocked you will see:

    Network
    unlocked

    Network subset
    unlocked

    Service Provider
    unlocked

Great! I'll put in my code then. Thanks Cap_172R.

make sure you have the correct network code, if you enter a incorrect code x number of times it will be device locked and you'll be SOL.

Where did you purchase the code and how much was it if I may ask?
How long did it it take and what is your service provider?

I purchased the code from CrackBerry Unlocking, and it was 45USD. It took about 12 hours for the code to arrive, and I have a Koodo Z10 STL100-3.

A silly question... what exactly does it mean to have an unlocked phone? What are the benefits?

You can use a different provider's service using their SIM card and you can get the latest official OS from a different provider then if your current provider is slow yo release new software.

It means you can use another carrier's services (just swapping out sim cards). Great if you travel...you can just get a local sim card (wherever your destination may be) and you won't have to worry about roaming charges etc. This is cheaper in the long run as roaming fees for voice/data do add up quickly!

Installing the leak won't unlock your device. Your device is an STL100-4 which is a verizon exclusive. The Z10 came unlocked out of the box.
