    A friend of mine uses an iPhone and I have a z10. Recently Whatsapp will show that he is online but he says he hasn't used the app in a week.
    i.e. it doesn't show him continuously online. It will show him online for a min then off for 10, then on for a couple minutes just like it would if you were going on and off while texting.
    I want to believe him but I don't see another explanation for it.
    Also, it only happens at times when he would normally be using his phone.

    Must be the WA is not perfected for its users. Or he is lying to you. lol Could be its online all the time and he is just not paying any attention to it. So he is technically NOT online you know what I mean?

    It doesn't show him continuously online. It shows him online for short periods at a time.
