    Swipe down on home screen. Touch the bell on notifications. Switch to silent. There you go

    That silences all sounds, not just the touch tones. I think that the OP doesn't want to have to change the volume settings before and after each dialed call.

    Yeah. I believe having sound notifications off will disable all passive noises such as the ringer obviously, keyboard clacking, camera shutter, etc.
