What makes you think that it will even work?

Might be a silly question but just making sure did you turn mass usb storage on in the settings menu?

I think it depends on the car's equipment. I've played the music from my Z10 through USB on my b/f's Lincoln through MS sync. With Sync we have options for playing play lists, etc from the Z10.
But I have an after market JVC unit in my Jeep and it's a pain. I can't control music playback through the Z10, only through the JVC and that's tedious. It starts at the first artist folder, so it's time consuming. No way that I've found to select a play list from the JVC.
For both vehicles, I had the USB mass storage turned on. Not sure if that's any help to OP.

Agreed. You must turn this option on for it to work in your car. It should work.

At one point it did work on my 2010 gmc Acadia, but I bought a 64 gig San disk and it doesn't work. It says it has no mp3 or wma files on the phone/usb

My BBZ10 will read the microSD card as long as I have the "mass storage" turned on.

I first formatted the microSD card in my BBZ10, then turned on the "USB mass storage".

I then connected it to my laptop and transferred the music to the "music" folder.

The music now will play when I connect my BBZ10, but now I want to be able to shuffle the music ..... anyone know how to do that?
