There is a limit.... based on the hardware of the Z10. Z3 has an even smaller limit....

The iPhone is not multitasking all of those open windows.... some may be "refreshed" if you have that option on and the app has that capability.

Then again many BB10 apps aren't really still working in the background either....

I think the limit will be taken down on a later update. Not sure.

8 Active Frames is the limit on the Z10.

I prefer to truly have those apps mutitasking, otherwise I see no advantage to having them open. The iPhone doesn't truly multitask, the Blackberry does. To allow true multitasking without taxing the system too much, Blackberry imposed a limit.

    From apple.answers.com:

    "Operating System
The iPhone 5 operates on the iOS 6 and the Blackberry 10 on the Z10. While both operating systems seem quite similar at first glance, there is one main difference. The Z10 supports true multitasking, which allows for open apps to run in the background. Instead of traditionally tapping through the home button to find different apps, the Z10 has Blackberry Flow, which allows users to switch between apps without closing out of an app first. Even better, Blackberry has revamped their message hub to make texting and emailing easier. The virtual QWERTY keypad on the Z10 learns the user's texting style to make message faster. The difference is that the Z10's keyboard will actually move with the user to change common mistakes that happen on touchscreens. While the iOS is currently more user friendly, the Z10 has some unique features that make it stand out."
