Curious, does one have to pay extra, i.e. have a tethering plan or something to use it?
I'm sure others would like to know the answer to this

It has it and it works. I have Bell and tested the Z10 Hot Spot with my Lenovo laptop. It works great. It supports up to 8 device connections.

I just came back from Costco and they were running mobile hotspot from the Z10.
They had 3 mobile devices running in off the Z10 and the mobile hotspot devices had good connectivity and throw speeds were pretty good.Hello IT, Have you tried turning it off and on again?Thanked by:Jonesy1966 (02-09-2013)

I cannot get my Netbook to connect to my Blackberry Z10 as a mobile hotspot. The BB shows in my list of available wireless networks, but I never get past the "Acquiring network address" stage. I have followed the Bell tutorial steps exactly. How to use my BlackBerry Z10 as a portable Wi-Fi hotspot. My netbook is an ASUS EeePC
Any suggestions?
