    hey guys,

I'm able to use ghost commander to browse my NAS, and avis play perfectly, but I can't get MKV playback to work (even though the z10 supposedly supports mkv?). if I click on an MKV file the only 2 options I get to play is the browser or the file manager... whereas AVIs give me the option to open with "movies".

is this an issue with MKV, or MKV over SMB shares or something? mkv playback over wifi would really be incredible if it works.

First, load the MKV onto the Z10's SD card and see if it will play from there, if not:

    https://developer.blackberry.com/dev...a_support.html

MKV is supported in the following codecs on BB10:
    H.264
    MPEG-2
    MPEG-4

To see what codec was used to encode your MKV files, use a player on your computer like Media Player Classic (freeware, no-ads) that is bundled with CCCP CCCP - Combined Community Codec Pack and choose File/Properties.
