    When I first set several contacts as favorites they appeared at the top of the phone app's call log. I reset my phone and readded my favorites but now they don't show on the call log screen. Any ideas?

    Try a battery pull or reboot, that might solve your issue.

    Where are your contacts stored ie on gmail or outlook?? Or are they stored locally on your device??

    They are on Gmail mostly. Some on Exchange via ActiveSync, some are linked to Facebook accounts. Some are linked to Twitter.
