Why would something like this show up there?

it's written in the OS, that's why you see it in settings on the Z10. the Z10's hardware (or whatever it is), however, doesn't allow it to use miracast nor wifi direct. bummer. I think only the Z30 has these features but i could be wrong. But hey at least we have NFC lol.

All the other BlackBerry 10 devices have miracast and wi-fi direct. Just the Z10 was left out.

My stl100-3 Z10 has the same thing. Just annoy the heck out of me because it takes up 483.3 kb of my storage!! If we can't have Miracast, let us delete it!!

The stl100-1 hardware technically supports wifi direct and miracast, no other z10 model does, different chipsets, but there is no hope of either of these coming to the z10, only q10 and z30 will support these features

which is just weird. what about the q5? that would be messed up if the q5 can and the z10 can't.

Q5 supports it all, FM Radio, Wi-Fi direct and Miracast.

Yet, they did not give us the ability to customize our white on the STL100-1 in the display settings, but the other Z10 models can do it. It's just weird

why would it matter to be fair to Z10 users, and not just the entire BB10 community as a whole? i understand maybe hardware limitations but if a Q5 can use it i don't see why the Z10 was left out. I assume it was because it was the first phone to release and maybe it wasn't thought out right, like a lot of BBRY's decisions.

Q5 > Z10

This is the case atleast when it comes to the wireless capabilities (ie Miracast, FM radio, WiFi direct). No ounce of a lie, I feel quite screwed for getting the Z10 early on because Wifi direct was a thing that I thought was more than plausible. Alas, BB decisions tend to be plain rushed at times...
