I have a Micro SD HC 8GB card and my phone doesn't seem to recognize it. I have looked through the forums and can't seem to find an answer as to why this is. When I go into my settings<storage and access, there is no option to format the media card. Is it possible that it's not compatible with my phone? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Try to format it in the computer (windows) first.

It's not reading or registering on my computer either. I have to use an SD card reader since my computer doesn't have a slot for a micro SD card, but I didn't think that should matter?

I had an issue with my SD card after Xmas. Although it still showed the option to format it. But same thing it wouldn't pop up on my computer and showed as corrupt on my BlackBerry. Formatting was the trick though if you can get either the bb or computer to recognize it. Mine went weird after I did 10.2 update, from now on I remove the SD when I do updates

It's still not registering on my computer. The SD card reader I'm using is Kodak, but I didn't think that should matter either.

where did you get that sd card from ebay ? if you did it may be a fake that is useless

I honestly don't even remember, I've had it for years. I think I'm just going to buy a new one and hope that works! Do you have any recommendations on one?

Honestly it doesn't really matter, most SD cards even when branded differently contain the same provider parts anyway. You can grab a nice 64GB Sandisk Mobile Ultra for around $40 these days.

Ha ha all answer are wrong. Actual thing is if someone updated os with SD some time problem happen. Format it not a solutions. If you restart then it never recognized.
1 . Connect you USB and in setting click USB mass storage when you see the folder in pc then click off in mobile walla now you see the SD file
