    She's holding her new SecuSmart enhanced Z10 in that picture. It is said that her mobile was monitored by the US in the past. I guess before SecuSmart. That would fit to the rumors that Obama assured her that she isn't monitored now while not mentioning possible monitoring activities in the past.

    I just want to know why they're getting so upset at their own phone calls being snooped on by NSA, but it wasn't such a big deal when the little man's privacy was being invaded.

    It's fake outrage. Countries all spy on each other, even allies. It just wounds to their pride because it's proof that their counter-espionage efforts have failed.

    You are assuming the NSA does not know how to break into a BES server, which is - IMO - a volatile assumption at this point...

    Do you seriously think Merkel is using Yahoo! email and consumer BES to conduct government business?
