As long as it's not mep locked u good, just take it to a local guy or do it online once u find the carrier. I got mine unlocked online for 30 tax in. Got code in less then 24 hours

When you put a non carrier sim in the phone that's what it says under notifications MEP locked. What you need to do is simply unlock the phone. I used CrackBerry unlocking for my two z10s worked great. What is the imei number on the phone I can check while I'm at work to see who it belongs too

I don't want to give out my IMEI to anyone in general. What do you use to find out the provider from the IMEI?

Okay, so it turns out we apparently had a miscommunication and the phone is apparently on a bell network. I believe him so I am going to pop in a blank bell sim card tomorrow and see what happens and get it unlocked right after that! YAY finally. I just want to thank the community here for helping me out as well!

I work for a cell company that sells bell, Rogers, fido, Telus, virgin ect. So I was going to type in the imei and it would tell me who its locked to. Glad you got it figured out tho

I am getting the same problem as Duncan, so Steersj if you can check who the phone is locked to would be appreciated.
I bought my phone from Amazon and it was supposed to be factory unlocked and the blinking phone locked
