I paired a Bluetooth headset to my z10 which works fine APART from in maps where the directions just come through phone speaker.

Is there some setting I am overlooking?

I want to put phone in bag and have it speak directions whilst riding my bike.

    Thanks!

I believe there is a setting to turn on BT in BlackBerry Maps. It works fine on my Jawbone.

Can't find any setting like that? Could you describe where it is?

When you say "blackberry bluetooth" do you means it's a Bluetooth headset made by blackberry? Mine is a waterproof one, made by some no name make. As I say it connects fine and works with calls but the maps don't want to use it for some reason. So I don't think issue is the headset itself.

OR you could get something like this Arkon Handlebar Mount with Water Resistant Holder | BlackBerry Car Mounts | CrackBerry Canada and SEE where you're going vs hearing. BTW it fits my z10 just fine albeit a bit tight. Not sure where Crackberry is coming from with their statement about it not fitting.

sounds like you don't have an A2DP headset, that's what let's the voice directions to get played through the bluetooth headset.

Thanks for your answers. Are you sure not having an A2DP headset would matter? Surely when you have a Bluetooth headset all speaker signals are send through the headset. When I plug in a wired headset this is the case. Looking around it seems the only issues related to A2DP are the z10 not connecting with people's car audio system full stop! Once connected I would expect all sound to go through the bluetooth device?

Thanks for other suggestion but don't want big device strapped to bars. Just need a bit of voice guidance!

When your bluetooth is connected go into you bluetooth settings, hold down on the name of your device, and then select "device settings", check to see if Audio Streaming is turned on and connected. I've had to delete my device and reconnect one or twice in the past to get it to reestablish an audio stream connection.

    Good luck

Hi, took me a while to try this out! In the settings it mentions audio streaming, but there is no indication if it is turned on or not. Still not working.
