I can't help but come to that conclusion. Verizon seems to have their act together a lot more than AT&T. Reps seemed well versed, and advised that they will be getting 4 units on the first day, and more as needed to satisfy demand... they hope to have a demo unit to show off to customers on launch day.

They are an awful company in general as far as I'm concerned.

It's a pity, because some of the companies that were taken over by Southwestern Bell (which eventually re-named themselves AT&T) were decent. Like our own local Pacific Bell.

The "new" AT&T is garbage. I could tell you lots of horror-stories about them, and I have to deal with them in a commercial capacity all the time as they are also the "local phone company" here and you have to deal with them for various things including commercial telecom/data services.

Can I ask approximately where that is? I'm in San Francisco, just curious.

When I called around to VZW stores last week, I got 2 crappy responses and 2 good ones.

From the sounds of what people posted here about AT&T's rollout, I'd guess I would have gotten 5 crappy responses.

Looks like Verizon is going to do it right. What does that mean - they are taking the Blackberry segment of customers seriously....a smart thing. Put out good support, and pull customers from ATT - who is totally fumbling the ball.

Why would someone want a BB customer?
    1. Loyal BB users
    2. Likely Business Demographic - so spends more on Apps, etc. Probably a traveler
    3. Phone could be bought or subsidized by company

If Verizon is the mysterious buyer of 1 million Z10, then they'll be pushing them out the door.

Att is so far up Apples a ss just like Sprint. When you sign a deal with the devil then it shows over time like now with BB.

Amazing. Verizon will be the winner then TMobile

Ya'll realize the provider that powers Obama's Blackberry and the rest of the Whitehouse staff's BBs is Verizon, right?

I'm pretty sure AT&T are the leading carrier of the iphone...perhaps that says it all if Apple has as much control over carriers as I have read recently.

This is good news. Hopefully their launch is more like the Canadian launch and less like the AT&T launch.
