I kind of miss my 9900. I took it out of the drawer the other day and played with it for a bit. Smooth, silky, great keyboard, fast, easy multitasking, well built. Argghhh... what was wrong with OS 7.1 again?

Don't get me wrong.... I love the Z10 and BB10, but the 9900 was one fine device. The Q10 might end up being the best smartphone ever!

Am I alone? I love all things BlackBerry.... but that darn physical keyboard is just awesome.

I hear you. This will be my first touchscreen BlackBerry. I'm using a 9780 now. My wife has a 9900. They are both awesome phones. I won a Z10 in the CrackBerry Birthday contest and am waiting for it to be shipped. I'm kinda nervous as to whether I will like it or not. The Q10 looks impressive but I've waited so long for BlackBerry 10 to be released.

Couldn't agree more. Got my 9900 out thus morning and still love it. Felt like an old friend and was so easy to type on and navigate around.

Bottom line is though I'm still using the Z10. The one thing that has kept me with it is the OTA syncing with my iCloud calendar. Part of me wants to go back to the 9900 and forget the Z10 ever came into my life. I keep thinking tomorrow is the day to revert, but tomorrow it seems never comes.

to me nothing is wrong with os 7 as far as messaging productivity goes. and even most other things are fine. in fact I am walking around mad monster party in charlotte right now bridged and using the heck out of my playbook, saving my phones battery. using sms, bbm, three browser windows with show schedule, pdf. etc., getting emails, and using tapatalk.

but os 7 boot times and app install times are bad. and it is not a platform blackberry can build on once the internet of things explodes in growth.

I don't miss mine, last week I went back to my 9900 to see what it was like and I found it slow, clunky. But saying that I do miss some of the features on the 9900 that haven't made their way over to the z10. Not only that I'm so used to swiping around that I couldn't figure out why my 9900 wasn't responding to my swipes lol . The same thing with my s3, trying to swipe around and it doesn't really respond. Think I'm too used to my z10.

My wife is still on a 9900. We were out for dinner last night and hers was sitting on the table. I looked wistfully at it a few times. Not only is it a great device it still looks great after almost 2 years of usage. Too bad it wasn't easier to have multiple versions for whenever the mood struck. I guess you could...just a pain to switch around. I am going to upgrade her to a Q when they come out because she can't see herself using all glass.

Then the restaurant owner came by and asked how I liked my Z...I said it was great and he said "I know!....all 10 of my buddies went out and got them on the first day".....

When i got my Z10 i gave my 9900 to my dad for his company, but he doesnt want to use it. I was looking at it today and with my flat black case around it, looked like a Q10! As i held it in my hand it didnt feel small at all for some reason and i realized i missed it and im considering trading my Z10 for the Q10 when it comes out im just worried about certain things like:

-i have plenty of screen protectors and an extra charging bundle for the z10
-how will apps like instagram and CB10 look on the Q10
-will it still be possible to sideload?
-im a too comfortable with the big touch screen now?

Still using my Bold 9930. I love the shortcuts. Walking into court "Q" to quiet, "A" to lock screen.

I don't think 7.1 is out dated. It will probably serve developing countries well on their way through 2G and 3G.

The touch screen is awesome! Some people think BlackBerry had no touch screen prior to Z10.

I am hesitant to give it up.

My 9900 is languishing in the drawer as a backup device. No going back for me. Touch and predictive typing are winners in my hands.

I loved my 9900 but it was more a work horse phone than a fun phone (which there is nothing wrong with) . I find myself using my Z10 way more but seem to get less done on it... I'm thinking the Q10 will be the best of both worlds

I'm still missing my 9900 a lot too, really for the trackpad, back, end call buttons, and the refinement of many of the options, like the music, profiles etc. My ONLY problem ever was the browser. Throw the BB10 browser on the 9900 and that is the perfect phone. Updating the camera would be welcome too

Just got my Z10 yesterday coming from a 9930. I do love the physical keyboard. I know it'll time take time to type as fast as I did on the 9930. I love the size of the Z10 though so that kind of makes it better.

There are little things I miss about my 9900 and I do really miss the physical keyboard. I kind of miss the track pad too! But that phone was just so slow and laggy, it froze all the time, and my browser would randomly crash and shut down when I'm in the middle of reading an article.

I'm keeping a close eye on the Q10 even though I will be sticking with my Z10 for at least a couple years. I'm absolutely loving my Z10 and I have no doubt that the Q10 will be a beast!

Used to have a Torch 9800 before. Great phone, I loved the h*ll out of it, but now I don't miss it at all. Sold it and got some money back for it at least and let someone else have a great BlackBerry phone rather than let it gather dust unused in a drawer.

    I think I'm going to go for a Q.

Will give the Z a solid shot though when it shows up in TMO stores this week. I just don't think I can handle a touch screen keyboard. (granted that I'm probably scarred on that from my usage of the ultimate POS - the Lumia 710 for 6 months !).

I miss my 9900, in part for the keyboard but also for the features that BBOS had which BB10 doesn't have yet.

Unfortunately, I sold it to help pay for the Z10 so I can't go back to it. I still have my old 9000 but that is just way too old :-)

I am still using my 9900 and loving it. Nothing wrong with it, really. And I enjoy to use it with Playbook. I will probably update it to Q10 in May. I wish it would be the same work horse phone. Sometime I wonder why RIM did not do the simple hardware upgrade every single year on the same model. I bought 4 Playbook for myself, friends and family members. It would be nice that the 3rd or 4th one come with Retina display. That's why Iphone/Ipad are successful. OS is important, but people cares about Apps too. It would be very risky for Apply to rewrite iOS, and obsolete all apps. That will upset all Iphone users because they are too ___ to learn, and too ___ to buy the new app. iOS will be old soon. For me, 9900 is the best Blackberry phone. I finally have all Apps I need on 9900, and it is a work horse phone. I am not afraid to learn BB10, but I am afraid that I will get less done with Z10. I am actually glad that now people around me get Z10, so that they can enjoy and kill the time. For me, Q10 is my next phone.

Yeah. Love the Z10, but do miss the physical KB of the 9900. I may switch to Q10 when money allows. You'd think rogers would waive the hardware upgrade fee to get on a new phone but noooooooooooooo they'd rather stick it to existing loyal long term customers. even if the slashed the fee by half. Tried unsuccessfully several times.
