If you have had this issue since getting the phone did you not think to get it replaced? In over 14 months since having my Z10 I have had no issue using the camera when I want to take a picture. This surely must be a hardware issue so getting the phone either replaced or repaired at least is something I would have seen to in the first month of owning the phone.
