    I keep a UTF-8 em dash in memory and paste it when I need it, but it's a pain because I am very picky when it comes to punctuation, and I need to be able to type En dash and Em dash. BlackBerry, please help!

    Aren't you more upset that the keyboard automatically capitalizes the first letter after an opening quotation mark, and the first letter of the last word before a closing quotation mark? I mean, this really isn't "Proper quotation mark Punctuation" (see what I mean?) by any means.

    Wow. I had no idea. En Dash, Em Dash, and Hyphen ~ CuteWriting I learn something new today. Would be nice if BBRY can provide your em dash when one taps and holds the en dash button.

    Here is a workaround.

    On my iMac, I composed a new email with the em dash, and emailed it to myself.

    I went to Word Substitution and added a new shortcut.

    See the pic below. 2 en dashes to convert to 1 em dash

    NB: I was not able to just copy and paste the em dash. I had to email the em dash with a couple of letters, and then deleted the letters in the word substitution field.
