The Z10 (BB10) needs to fix another simple thing to give us better customization options ...

we should be allowed to pick a different image for our lock screen then what we use for our background (wallpaper).

Unfortunately iPhone and other phones allow for this already....why wouldn't BB include this simple option??

Im kinda thinking previous BBs had their own lock screen, although not selectable it did not use your wallaper. Was in the theme itself, and changable with themes

That's not a bug. The idea is for the background to flow while you're unlocking. If you've noticed, they've even kept the camera button position the same on the lockscreen as it is on the home screens to keep the flow from the lock screen as well. I suppose adding the option couldn't hurt either though.

I think it should "flow" if the screen is simply off/in standby and you are swiping it on.

But if you have a password on it, the device should not display your wallpaper as every aspect of the phone should be password protected. They hide the icons if you have a password, but I think we should have the option to hide wallpaper or display a different wallpaper. Sensitive picture as your wallpaper could come into play/view for someone that does not know the password.

I agree as I like a wallpaper of my kids but don't want this as my lockscreen for everyone to see.

I posted on another thread in my file manager under device photos there's a sub folder called slider lock but if I put a photo into that folder it still shows my wallpaper as lock screen, so slider lock must mean something else.

As much as I love love love the new ui I would like an option to have blank home screen with top 4 icons at bottom or , similar to PlayBook were you swipe up the bottom dock.
