I loaded Google maps like I said. It's awesome. I tried to load temple run and temple run two but neither worked and since I wasn't particularly interested to in the first place I didn't bother to figure out why. But am loving the side load and Google maps is awesome. I'm gonna be posting some general feedback on the Z10 and. Blackberry 10 this week. Teaser: I'm loving it

There are some games and apps such as temple run games that will not work on android player 2.3, but may work on android player 4.2 which is in OS 10.2

Now do remember if you upgrade to a newer OS even a leaked OS which 10.2 is right now a leaked OS not officially down yet, you will need to side load again all the apps or games you side loaded previously.

There is no backup for side loaded apps or games as of right now. Correct me if I am wrong anyone?

Now welcome to BlackBerry z10 world I love the phone, but not BlackBerry as they lied about bb10 coming to existing playbooks.

Yeah, i was really disappointed when i heard about Z10 not having full playbook support as it is with legacy devices but i think not getting BB10 on the Playbook was a punch to the stomach. Both my girlfriend and i were looking for that update as we both have Playbooks and use them quite often. As for the update to 10.2, i'm going to be doing that this weekend. It seems the Z10 has become my weekend project lol. But so far, apart from a few gripes with OS 10, i am loving this device.

The 1047 seems to be a good build. There are a couple of videos in the forums that highlight some of these features. One thing, you find that BBM doesn't work with the new 10.2. Not to worry. Download the beta zone app from BlackBerry World and install channels. That will take care of any BBM issues And you will be enrolled in the BBM channels beta.

    Good luck and enjoy.

OK, so I loaded 10.2 and it felt super fast and even looked better for some strange reason lol but then I loaded my old settings and data and all of a sudden it just feels laggy. Don't know if it's just a figure of my imagination but it feels slower. Am gonna keep monitoring it though.

I rebooted the device and it helped big time with my battery. Perhaps the OS takes a little time to 'burn in". I found performance improved over time.

Put the latest 10.2 leak on it. I am on the previous leak and my battery life is excellent. Also Skype seems to work fine with the 10.2 leak (Something to do with the Android runtime using Jelly bean). Anyway, you get lock screen previews and toast notifications which are two great improvements over 10.1.

Side load the unlocked android runtime using the Google Chrome method and temple run 2, candy crush or whatever else you want would run just fine without needing all that token long winded method. Search here on crackberry for the runtime.

Don't worry. 1047 is a great leak. I've been on it for almost a month now. I haven't had any reason to leave it.

Ok, So i loaded up 10.2 and i had some issues that i've since pretty much resolved. 10.2 is a much better upgrade. So far so great. Question: I noticed that voice control is much improved but i still cant get directions using the native map app. I side loaded Google maps and it works great, especially with the unlocked android run time. Is it possible for me to set the voice control to use google maps to get directions instead of the native map app?

Thanks for the feedback. I'm still upset that the native map app doesn't recognize Jamaica but Google Maps is great.
