Never wanted to do that. But the app gap has widened over the one and half year I purchased the z10. Now that blackberry will be announcing it's on take on Android, we can't expect the app gap to get narrower.

Still I am interested in knowing the possible reasons to hold back on it.

None at all that I can think of. If Android meets your needs, BB10 doesn't, and you like a phone already on the market you should buy that phone.

It's a tough decision. I had the same problem. Been using BlackBerries since 2008, and went Android 2 weeks ago. I needed a few apps I couldn't get on my Z30 and well, i was unwilling to compromise. That and the fact that the Z series owners have nothing to look forward to at BB forced my hand.

My LG G4 kicks but-t in every way over my Z30....except for the hub. I do miss it.
I still go back to my Z30 occasionally, but i think this Android is going to be my daily driver and I am happier for it.

Do what makes you happy! No one can decide for you EXCEPT YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, with the (possible) Android slider I've been looking outside BlackBerry as well. I'm going to wait and see but right now the Moto X Pure, coming out today, looks like a great option if you are okay with a larger phone. $399 unlocked, SD slot and usable on all US carriers. Tough to beat the value. We'll see what happens with the slider.
