Why would it be?! Try the device and if suits you - go with it.

    That's reason enough alone.

You'll be happy with the new 2800 mAh battery and the bright 5" screen on the Leap.

Yea get a leap. When it goes down to $200us on sale. It's not worth 349cdn plus taxes. But $0 on a two plan. Y not

If you are having battery issues with the Z10, just get the 3800mah mugen extended battery for the Z10. It will last even longer than the Leap.

The Z10 had the advantage in features such as
    - Removable battery
    - higher screen resolution
    - NFC

The Z10 was meant to be a BlackBerry flagship phone for $700 at the launch. The Leap was released as a entry level device from the start.

Besides, the Z10 has a compass function which not all BlackBerrys have. Although I don't use it much, I'm glad it has it. The Z10 is technically a little beast unrecognized by many.

Buy a new battery. You can do that with the Z10, but not the Leap. With the Leap you lose NFC, DNLA, no Compass/ Magnetometer, and no gyroscope. You do get FM radio. You also lose the HDMI output. You get a higher capacity battery, but it isn't replaceable, so as your battery dies, I will keep chugging away with my Z10 and my multiple batteries.

If you want to upgrade, there are plenty other phones that will actually be an upgrade from the Z10, but the Leap isn't an upgrade.

I love the z10. Only wish it had a better battery life and wifi direct. Other than that, I love this phone and is the only reason I've thought multiple times about upgrading but haven't. Size, screen display, NFC and the rest, this phone just awesome.

No HDMI output? That's enough reason not to get it! Unless Miracast or Chromecast works on it

+100, I hated my 9850 the second month I had it. My Storm even satisfied me a hell of a lot longer than my Torch. I almost hate the Torch more than my Pearl and that was a pos! Lol

My 9800 was a decent device, but better than my Z10? No way.

Why? The Leap is less of a phone, it offers less than the Z10. There are Blackberries that offer more, but the Leap is not one of them.
