    Hey everyone,

I was thinking about trading my iPhone 4 for a Z10. I still got one key issue that I need to resolve. I write messages in 3 languages (English, French and German). When I write on my iPhone, I can just change the language setting on the virtual keyboard and then I have a different keyboard where I can type on and the spellchecker corrects the mistakes in the respective language of the keyboard.
The main reason why I want to get the Z10 is the awesome virtual keyboard with predictive typing. ( I do not need a large selection of Apps) Can you easily change the keyboard to a different language and does the predictive typing work as well when you change the language on the keyboard or does the predictive typing only work in English? If it does, I should rather go for a Q10 or Q5, shouldn't I?

    Thanks in advance,

    Tom

All you have to do is make sure you've installed the language packs you need. The phone picks up on what language you're typing in and changes itself.

Very simple. No need to switch between languages at all. In the settings, you can go to Language and Input and change the input languages to encompass whichever languages you need. Very simple to do. It will predict in multiple languages.

It is. The keyboard, as you said above, has an awesome virtual keyboard. I've been a smartphone user for years, I've had pretty much all the top phones, with touchscreen and tactile keyboard, and none have compared to my Z10 keyboard. The BB10 interface takes a bit of getting used to, but once you do, you can perform wonders... It will be even better once BB10.2 has been released officially (I'm running a leak).

Good luck with your choice and welcome to Crackberry!

    wow sounds pretty cool.

At least on the Q10/5, if you have more than one keyboard layout enabled (regardless if there is more then one language enabled), you can change the layout by pressing Alt+Enter (eg from QWERTY to AZERTY). The key labels will just be wrong, but it shouldn't take to long to get used to.

As long as you set your input language to the three that you use. The keyboard's prediction and autocorrection will change accordingly.

See how English and German words appear on the keyboard after I typed 'Thank'. (screenshot)
