When opening some apps, but also with BlackBerry World, phone, ebay, BlackBerry travel...maybe a few more, but I heard some people are having problems with this and exchanging their phones. Idk if my lag is normal, but thought I'd check.

Cleared call log too Btw. Full and empty it lags.

    AT&T Z10 bought on March 22.

The only lag issue I had related to my call log which I hadn't cleared in two months. Other than that it's been fluid. I have Blackberry Travel installed but haven't used it extensively, and haven't installed eBay. I was going to and heard about battery drain issues and decided to steer clear for the moment...

Have you done a full backup of the phone and tried reloading the OS software? A pain in the arse, I know, but maybe worth a shot if you haven't? My gut tells me the lag issues are software related mostly, and that exchanging the phone is basically the same as doing an OS wipe and reload of a backup. But honestly, I don't know for sure. Hope you clear it up.

I too was having a serious LAG at one pointe.

Not sure if it was either a battery pull or two or if it was fixed after my ATT OS update.

I have not done a wipe, but I did update the software. I was kind of hoping I could use this as an excuse to exchange since I scratched up the trim On my phone. :/ lol

Heh. Worth a shot, I won't tell anyone. BUT, if they don't go for it, I'd try the wipe for sure. Just can't see how hardware could do that.

I heard it was an issue with some people's processors. Can anyone confirm this?

Mine didn't lag until I did the update from AT&T. I have not found away to clear the memory like on my 9810.

I have serious lag in the phone app of my z10 it typically takes 8 seconds for it too load recent calls or missed calls menus and it freezes sometimes when answering phone calls.
I did a device switch from my 9810 to my z10 after a day of use this popped up. The browser and bb world and other apps seem to work fine, really really fast, but admittedly I've spent little time on data related applications that don't include messaging.

A friend's Z10 went to a technical centre, turned out to be a faulty GPU.

There is stuttering around but generally quite fluid. I'm hoping 10.1 brings a little more polish but it's quite good as is. Haven't experienced any abnormal lag.

Text messages lag big time for me. I usually go through about 8000 text messages a month, so at this point my Z10 probably has around 24 000 text messages stored on it. Unfortunately we're seeing BlackBerry didn't design an efficient archiving feature for messages a "Few pages prior " like apple devices. Perhaps in OS 11.

An alternate option would be to have a delete prior option like CrunchSMS does on older BlackBerry devices. That way you can delete part of the thread that you no longer need but can keep the more recent correspondence. Unfortunately that isn't an option either

Compared to my Nexus 7 this Z10 is pretty snappy IMO. Very happy with the performance. Always going to be some occasional lags.

After going through my cell and removing the old text messages (deleting entire threads - especially those with MMS messages too) and deleting past call history, I've found my BlackBerry to speed up back to normal again.
