I leave sounds off on my phone. I find the vibrate and LED are sufficient for notifications, so I just keep the phone silent. Never even thought to turn the keyboard sound off, and it's a little jarring on the occasion I turn sound back on to watch a video or something.

I'd likely turn it off.
