Well, I speak another language so I constantly text others who speak the same language. I also send majority of texts in English. What happens is that when I'm typing in the other language the phone is trying to correct the words to English so I'm always cancelling the corrections. Now after some time I feel like the phone doesn't know what I want to type and my typing has gotten very inconsistent with a lot of errors in spelling. I'm also spending a lot of time correcting the words that I'm trying to type. I know the keyboards learn your text but how does it differentiate between languages. Is this possible or are you option less if you speak another language?

Does anyone have any experience with this? I know I can turn off auto correct but that made the problems worse when I tried it. I remember on old blackberry phones I could change the language is that possible on the z10.

Did you select the languages you wish to be used on the keyboard?? Once you do this, it works no issues...If you don't select them, the auto-correct would try to keep it in the default selection.

Tap settings > language and input > input languages.

Actually, when you have two active languages but turn off language detection, you can manually switch from one language to another with the comma key so the auto correct is only for one language at the time. That's what I do and it works quite well.

I can type in two languages mostly without looking at the keyboard!
Puedo tipear en este teclado casi sin mirar!
    Text prediction works pretty well.
