Obviously Kevin is the face of CrackBerry, but I think BlackBerry should use him on stage at their live events. His excitement is genuine and believable, unlike Thorsten or any of the other BlackBerry brass. I think it would entice developers, and the more apps, the more interest people will have in BB10 devices.

I think Thor just has that blank deadpan look to him by nature but you can see he gets verry giddy at times discussing BlackBerry.

Plus Kevin needs to keep some sort of distance to maintain CrackBerry's credibility as a legitimate and unbiased (well, as unbiased as a fan site can be) BlackBerry enthusiast site. I do like BlackBerry's seemingly new willingness to acknowledge CrackBerry's importance to their users though and I hope that they continue on that trend.

Besides the fact that I like Heins and don't mind having him on stage (he's the CEO and belongs there) and, as much as I like Kevin, I'd rather the distance between CrackBerry and BlackBerry be maintained. When I read reviews of products here on CB or rants on device issues, I know it's genuine because regardless of what's written, BlackBerry isn't paying CB anything.

Whether one sees CrackBerry as being biased or not, there's still a lot of credibility in a person (or a group) doing things simply out their own desire or passion for a cause or product. I think that if BlackBerry were to ever begin paying Kevin or CB, the credibility of the site would go down.

Blackberry needs to keep Crackberry out, and vice versa. As soon as Crackberry starts participating/ cooperating directly/ being under Blackberrys payroll, the whole crackberry blog will be invalidated. Crackberry needs to be an independent organisation.
