Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere, but I can't find it.... I give a lot of speeches and like to use the stopwatch or timer on my Z10 to keep track of time. Is there any way to prevent the Z10 from going to sleep, other than setting the Screen Lock Timeout in Display settings? Even using that somewhat cumbersome method, the maximum is 5 minutes, which is not very useful if you're giving a 45-minute talk. I used to use Backlight Pro on my old 9870 but I can't find any equivalent for BB10. Any suggestions?

I don't believe its possible. What I usually do it just set the max time and then tap the screen every few minutes

Actually it doesn't lock it just dims and after the set time goes black. Just since 10.2 the dimming is like in 30 seconds. If I pause to long typing this message for instance the screen dims and I need to swipe up from bottom to continue typing. Very annoying

This is out there but it would work. Find a video or make one that is simply a running stop watch. When videos are played the screen will not dim.

There is a "toolbox" app out in BlackBerry World. I haven't used it, but I believe it has an option to keep the screen from dimming.

There's an app called StayOn (or stay on) but it needs to be running - not sure if reduced or full screen.

Has anyone found a way to keep the screen from dimming when using the timer? I am trying to use the phone for the same purpose as the OP. A colleague has a Galaxy SIII and can do this no problem. Frustrating.
