    Hey, i bought my Z10 two days ago, and it is all ready in service, and that is because immediately update it, with not fully charged battery. After that, things got from bad to worse my battery died and it did˙nt updated correctly. And i am waiting to get it back from service wich was send abroad to fix it. So not a good start for me, i hope it can be repaired and live happily with my BB.

    That is a bad start, but lesson learned. Never update unless you plug in the device. Hope everything goes well once you get your phone back. It is an awesome phone!

    Yes and there is a notification that states to ensure you're connected to a power source before continuing update. Hope you get it resolved.

    and it's too early to send it back for repair. since it fails to update, i assumed that it got bricked and normally BB Link is able to fix it.

    i did try to connect it with BB link it was recognized by the computer, but in BB link was nottification that os did not finish update and that i disconect it from a laptop and wait util Z10 finish updating which was never finished.

    Link should have been able to fix it whether it detected it or not. You remove battery and plug in USB and then use the 'Reload Device Software' option in 'Preferences' and pop the battery when prompted. For future reference you can usually fix these mistakes yourself, but lesson learned anyhow. Just keep it on the charger when updating. Hope you get it back soon.
