Sure it is an older version, but it works. I can make phone calls with my PHONE after all that is why it's called a phone. The advantage of messenger is that I use it on wifi and don't worry about the super high cost of texting to and from Canada and the US. As far as video chat, Skype works just fine. I still really enjoy my z10, older tech, but then so am I. And I never have to worry about getting hacked or having my identity compromised with BB10

Hi there. Thanks for the tip about Messenger. All seems to work fine other than not showing in Hub. I do get a spark on the app, so it's not the end of the world.
I have made sure all is set up right as per the fellah with the same problem above, but still no Hub notifications

Any clues??

Try turning off the app and then turn it back on. Chat heads, that should fix it

I just downloaded them from the play store. The messenger and Snapchat app is an apk, just Google the apk is all you need to do.

Thank you so much for this!!! The messenger app works great on my passport!! So, this "chat heads" thing? Did I miss something? What is that? I have it active, but should I be able to click on it or some thing to take me to the conversation?

The latest Play Store versions don't run on Blackberrys. They just just stop responding and eventually close.
And Snapchat too, doesn't work on Blackberry.
So, you're wrong both ways. Time to update your knowledge, mate.

I believe you, mate, but, when I download Snapchat, it shows an error that says "Google play Services are required for the app to run which is not supported by your device". So, it'd be nice if you'd just tell how to.

BUT the APK is the older version of Messenger. The latest one has the capability to switch two accounts if you have and has the video chat feature. Once you update it. It will not work

Chatheads does work, and I'll screen shot to version I'm running. It's in the 1 post but I'll post again. Now chatheads shows in Hub but don't have a picture of the sender in a bubble like android.
