Get the iPhone 6, or 6+. It's the 2nd best smartphone in the world next to BlackBerry 10.

If for whatever reason I would have to (like really must) leave BlackBerry I would buy a htc one m8 which in my opinion is the best android phone on the market and android is 10 times better than apple but I would stick with BlackBerry and either have the screen replacement or buy a passport / z30/z10
And buy a screen protector and a case

I replaced two Z10 screens. Both are working fine and the job was easy. Just make sure you have the correct tools and follow a YouTube tutorial or something similar.

When my z10 died last month I was ready to switch to galaxy s4 because it's similar size wise to z10 and I wanted better compatibility with gmaps etc that android provides. Because of my contract with verizon, I bought a used z10 to hold me over and will decide if I switch or not when contract renews. When I sent a similar post as yours last month I was shocked at all people who condemned me for thinking of switching and I see you are getting much of the same type of replies. The last poster before me has good input because he tried multiple phones. That's constructive replying which is what this forum should be about.

I'm sorry I don't get it with the support thing. I see no phone numbers or e-mails by which BlackBerry offers direct support to consumers. I don't even understand such a need as I have never needed any kind of support with my BB 's, and when they stopped working I just took them to my carrier to replace them on warranty.
From my POV, even if BlackBerry were to go extinct this very second, I would still buy 1 or 2 dirt cheap passports to keep using them. You buy a device not a company ...
