    On OS 10.1?

    Given that some consider it the successor to mp3 I cannot imagine it happening.
    (mp3 still rules the portable audio format for now)

    Ok this is good to know. I am still bummed by the AC3 block. I literally had to spend hours re-converting my huge video library to AAC. It was such a pain in the ***.

    I agree with you. The AC3 removal is a genuinely stupid move. Have you tried a workaround though? Try doing a factory restore of your device to the original OS that the device shipped with and then do the official carrier updates. Don't install any apps or configure anything yet. After that check if AC3 is playing. If it is, the next thing to do is install the latest Z10 specific leak (I'm assuming you are on the Z10) using the autoloader. After the leak is installed try playing AC3 again. It should still work. Finally, if everything went as planned, you can configure your device now and install all apps.
