I'd like to know who knows someone or is switching from another device to a BB10
EDIT: the title should state "switching from another device or platform to a BB10 device"
It's exactly as the title states, I would like to know if anyone out there knows anyone that is switching from another platform or device to a BB10 device on launch or in the near future of its inception.
I currently don't know anyone as of yet. I'm a current BB user, on OS 6 on the Torch 9800, and I plan to be an early-adopter to the L-series.
I was tempted to buy the note 2 after using my girlfriends but...who am I kidding I really want the L-Series BB10 device! - 12-07-2012, 03:44 PM #2

I'm going to wait till the QWERTY device drops, compare the touch vs keyboard and then come aboard..for me it's a matter of when, not if...

I'm definitely upgrading my current BB but after showing a friend, who owns an older iPhone, he said he's gonna wait for his upgrade. Most of the people I know are BB users already, and those that aren't, jumped ship not to long ago so their contracts aren't near ready to switch back yet.

3GS planning on going to BB10 L series hopefully. Hope it is what I m hoping for it to be, a kicka$$ phone. I was never a qwerty keyboard phone so this will suit me well. Hopefully they keep sideloading option still because I have some droid programs that I have converted which is not available on bb world.

I absolutely adore my iPhone 4S, but I definetly plan to give the BB10 devices a shot. I probably will go L series, but I heard rumours of a N series with a 2450 nah battery. If that's true, that definetly increases my opinion of the N series.

I sold my iPhone 4 because I was tired of a design that was bland and tired of waiting for a cool re_design but when the iPhone5 came out it was the last straw. Started reading forums and BB10 caught my attention. The new software address all of faults I felt iOS has and will never be fixed. Bought a 9860 but quite honestly was a terrible experience coming from the iPhone. sold that and bought this 9900 with the idea when the BB10 phones come out do I go full touch screen or qwerty . Simple decision to me now L series all the way I actually miss the 3.5" screen and realized I am not a two thumb type. So count me as converted Apple Fan Boy from iOS and all in for a BB London.

My 9900 is wiped and getting bids on Ebay right now, so that makes me a full-time Android person. If BB10 has what I need, I'll be back in black very quickly. I expect it will.

My old Style has been relegated to being my music library/player in my truck, since I had to give up my secondary line for our son. Miss chatting with my BB friends on BBM, but the Style was too slow to serve as my front line device. Seriously hoping that the L marks my full-time return.

I plan on moving from my iphone 4 to BB10. I have an ipad mini to keep all the games I've downloaded over the years. I'm excited to come back to BB now that they've worked so hard to get back in the game. I'm expecting great stuff from them.

Don't know for sure yet, but I heard at least one guy from marketing is waiting for BB10.

I hadn't planned on changing my Galaxy SIII, but after playing with a BB10 phone in work last week I'm really considering it. The phone itself is amazing, deal breaker will be app support. I couldn't get onto the BB world (apparently the BB10 name for app world), so not sure what will be available. Good thing to see was the inclusion of some big name apps that aren't available atm on BB7 or PlayBook.
One thing is certain though is that this phone will NOT be a flop, guaranteed! - 12-09-2012, 10:24 PM #24
I know people from android and iOS making the switch. I tell them to watch one hands on video after I get the usual blackberry sucks comment and they all love it and say they will try it
