    Default Icons rearrangement?

Is there a way to rearrange the icon in the home screen?

I hope you're kidding lol. In any case. Hold down any icon until they start wiggling. You can rearrange in any order, or move them to the edge of the screen to move them to a new screen. Drag items on top of each other to create folders.

    Well I didn't know.

Don't have to be a ******* smart *** about it. This is why I hate to ask things on here.
Sorry that you get to play more with your phone than I do. Unfortunately I have to work and pay attention to, i don't know...my job.

Yeah, we have jobs to do to you know. I wish more people would dive in into their phone's settings and features, you'd be surprised what you could find.

This has been one of BlackBerry's big problems, some people never bother learning. I know a guy who after some 3 years with a 9700 he never discovered bedside mode, or desktop manager and subsequently never did an update.

Take a little time to explore your phone. We're not here to do it for you although we do do it most times.

Really ? I didnt think was being condescending at all. But as long as you got the answer you needed its all good
In all honesty, virtually anything you need to know is already on this forum somewhere or has someone on the forum who can help you out. Good luck and enjoy the new phone !!!!

I have a 9700 and 9900 for work. Never needed a desktop manager because I had blackberry protect and did OTA downloads for updates. Now for myself I have a z10. I love the phone. Everything about it. Just didn't know the icon movement. Like other devices where you can set it as alphabetical orders or custom. Oh my personal phone before z10 was an android.

I did search for icon movement. Didn't find any. I see a lot of whining and complaining threads. I did have a post when I first got this phone but with each day I grow to love this phone more and more.

This is actually a good thread cause I have more to add to it (ramin, sorry to hear you had troubles but I'm glad you figured it out)

Ok my question is the customizations of the icons and pages itself. I understand that you can move icons around but is it possible to have icons not "Auto shift " next to each other after I move them? Or can I create a first page that is completely blank. Reasons for this is that the wallpaper I choose to have often gets blocked off by the icons or the home screen windows. (brother just wants to see Megan Fox's sexy face every time he uses his bb)

You can arrange 4 folders full of apps at the top row and leave the rest of the screen empty if you wish.

No they always auto shift to fill top row left to right first, then second row, etc. But as Belfast Dispatcher said, you can reduce the number of apps on first page using folders or moving the apps to second or third page. I believe need a minimum of 1 app on first page though.

You know what, I'm gonna do this, I'll arrange all my screens with folders at the top row and leave everything else empty.

Darn it, minimum one?? I guess I gotta settle, thanks for all the inputs

Now with this idea in mind. Will you just be putting in one folder on the first page or one app? And if it is one app...which one?

The layouts being discussed here will obviously cause you to have more app screens so I was curious has many screens BB10 would let us have...

I got up to 41 screens of apps and it was still letting me add more, so looks like there is Lots of room for plenty of apps on our phones.

I too wish that I could have the home screen free of app icons. I just want my wallpaper, and then swipe to go to apps. I'd like to have the option to hide the top and bottom bars as well.

I created a folder and included all icons on my "first" screen to display my wallpaper.
